Never overpay on AliExpress

The same product is often listed under completely different names on AliExpress. Searching only one term means you miss dozens of cheaper listings for the identical item.

How to build your search: 1. Strip brand names — search by what the product physically is, not what it's called. 2. Describe by material + size + function — for example, instead of "BrandX phone stand", try "aluminum adjustable phone holder desk" and "foldable mobile phone mount" 3. Try 2–3 keyword variations and note which returns the highest number of results.

Why this matters: Sellers from different factories use different keywords. A buyer who only searches one term may pay 40–60% more than a buyer who found the same product under a different name.

Enter the product URL into the price checker. What you're looking for:

• The floor price — the lowest this product has ever sold for. That's the true market price.
• Pre-sale inflation — a common AliExpress trick is to raise the "original" price 2–3 weeks before a sale event, then show a large "discount" back to the normal price. If the price history shows a spike right before a sale, the discount is fake.
• Seasonal patterns — some products go on genuine sale during 11.11, 618, or Ramadan. Price history tells you whether the current "sale" is real or manufactured.

Rule: If the current price is within 10% of the historical floor, you're already getting a fair deal. If it's 30–40% above the floor labeled as "on sale", the sale is fake.

Add your top 3 candidates to the comparison tool. Look beyond just the price:

• Shipping time — a product $3 cheaper but with 45-day shipping vs 14-day shipping may not be worth it
• Seller grade — a lower price from a seller with a D grade means higher risk of your order arriving wrong or not at all
• Review authenticity — the comparison view surfaces the trust score for each listing. A suspiciously low price with a low trust score often means a bait-and-switch product (what you see in the photos is not what ships)

Price is only one variable. The best value is the intersection of fair price, trusted seller, and reasonable shipping.

Add your chosen product to your shortlist. Before buying, consider:

• Is a sale event coming up? Check the price history for seasonal low points. If 618 or 11.11 is within 3–4 weeks and the floor price is significantly lower during those events, waiting pays off.
• Price patience has a floor — prices rarely drop more than 20–30% below the current market. If you're already within 10% of the historical low, buy now. Waiting indefinitely for a lower price that may not come is a trap.

Save the product with a note of the floor price you found in Step 2. When you return later, you'll know immediately whether any new price is genuinely better.
